Our Faculty

The Academy faculty includes more than 11 teachers, plus other administrative and curriculum assistants, with combined service which exceeds 50 years!

Barbara Frey, Co-Director

Barbara has a B.S. in Education from the University of Michigan and an extensive background in team teaching, positive behavioral programs, early childhood development and neuro-education.

Marjorie Peacock, Co-Director

Marjorie Peacock has a B.S. in Education from Russell Sage College and a M.S. in Education, Curriculum and Teaching, from Fordham University.

Professional Development

Most teachers at The Academy are state-certified and are otherwise pursuing teaching degrees or associate degress in early childhood education. In addition, many staff members have broad experience working with your children. All teachers receive ongoing training and workshops developed specifically by The Academy For Children and are trained in first-aid and CPR.
